Friday the Firkinteenth at The Grey Lodge this Friday

I'm not in the mood for original content today, so I've copied some "pump up the volume" material courtesy of Scoats. Who's going? Who's excited? Did someone say 'growler fills'? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ July 2007 Friday the Firkinteenth Details updated as of 10 July, 12:40pm * tapping begins at noon. * Looks like 20 firkins. * 7 firkins will be pouring at any time (except when we get down to less than 7), tapping a new one as one kicks. The order of the casks will be random, but hey there should be no stinkers in the line-up. * Due to the huge amount of cask ale we will have, we will doing limited growler fills. Current Cask List (likely to change, it always does): ~ Appalachian Bourbon Barrel Irish Red ~ Brewers Art Beacon Ale ~ Clipper City Hang Ten Weizen Dopplebock ~ Flying Fish Hopfish ~ General Lafayette Hop-eweizen ~ Iron Hill (North Wales) Biere de Mars ~ Iron Hill (West Chester) Belgian White ~ Lancaster TBA ~ Legacy Brown Aled Girl ~ Nodding Head BPA ~ Porterhouse Lager ~ Rock Art Stock Ale ~ Sly Fox Imperial Red ~ Southampton TBA ~ Stoudts IPA ~ Troegs Sextupled Hopback ~ Triumph Caribbean Imperial Stout ~ Weyerbacher Slam Dunkel ~ Victory Donnybrook Stout ~ Yards TBA I suggest arriving early. If we get too full, there will be a line outside, so please dress cool (thanks Steve) and be patient. We will do our best to let as many people in as safely and quickly as we can. As usual, we will be stocking up on 8oz glasses so you can safely try several of these great beers. Also, as usual, there will be pitchers of water all over. An interesting bit of trivia, this is probably the only beer event in the world whose frequency and timing are completely at the mercy of the calendar. Friday the Firkinteenth is a now registered trademark of The Grey Lodge Pub. It is amazing what you can do with a Web browser and a credit card.
