Weekly Brew Bits Update: 8/6/12

Plenty to come this week from this past weekend's annual BCTC event at Ommegang. Until then, here are some newsy items that you may have missed in recent days/weeks.

PHILADELPHIA
~ Craft Claw coming to Old City? Put me down as potentially interested.

EASTERN PA, NJ, DE, AND OTHER NEARBY PARTS OF MID-ATLANTIC
~ Two of the damn finest products around come together.
~ After hearing the impact of the all-powerful Pennsylvania government's opinion of Iron Hill's mug club, it appears that the Lehigh Valley's Fegley Brew Works is next "under investigation", with rules changes to come.

THE REST OF PLANET BEER
~ Jay Brooks gives us a peek at something to look forward to, by looking back, at this year's GABF.

~ And GABF has now entered the realm of frustrating ticket sales process, like for a concert or football game in high demand. "Chipper Dave" out in Colorado had his first reaction, then another. GABF published some follow-up. Quite interesting as this thing we call the craft brewing industry continues to grow in popularity.

~ Speaking of growth, Steve Beaumont gets into the numbers.

~ And, Business Week brings some investor perspective on Boston Beer Company and its past and future trajectory.
