Philly Beer Week 2013, Day 7 Sights and Sounds: Thursday, June 6

Well, so things didn't quite work out as planned last night. No worries, though. It was a night that was apparently meant for The Brew Lounge to stay in the suburbs. Circumstances conspired and I wound up having a killer meal of Roast Pork with long hots and a smoked garlic aioli spread at TJs in Paoli. A very nice Homefront IPA (check out the charitable tie-in) from Sly Fox accompanied quite nicely.

Fortunately, the suburbs have a few events scattered here and there because after dinner, it was up the road for a casually-enjoyable couple of hours with the crew at Teresa's Next Door in Wayne who were hosting Yvan De Baets from Brasserie de la Senne all the way from Brussels.

You may recall that Weyerbacher did this year's collaboration PBW brew over at Yvan's brewery. The taps were overflowing with some very good beers from de la Senne. Band of Brothers, Jambe de Bois, and of course Taras Boulba all went down quite nicely over conversation with Yvan and numerous other familiar and friendly faces at one of the suburbs best options for beer and food.

No pictures, just a quality night of people and beer in the 'burbs. We'll give the City another try tonight and see if things turn out differently. We're entering the home stretch here with three days remaining.

Let me know if I missed anything stupendously great in the City last night. 30th Street Beer Garden? Philly Beer Geek? Good Dog? Dunkel Dare? Johnny Brenda's? Barcade? And....?
