Coming Soon...Artisan Homebrew

Philly's suburban homebrewers in northern Chester County have suffered without a homebrew supply store long enough. Mike Hamara has decided that the time has come to keep local homebrewers happy and to give them more time with their hands in the mashtun rather than on the steering wheel. If you think you know the name Mike Hamara, it's because he's been one of the handful of beer savvy guys behind Greg Ramirez at Exton Beverage. There always a chance that you'll seem him as well at local watering holes like Victory, The Drafting Room, Flying Pig, Sly Fox (not all in the same night...usually!) Chances are, though, that in the coming months, there will be only one place that you can usually find him. October will see Mike open a homebrew shop in the heart of Downingtown, PA at 128 East Lincoln Highway. The official date is still being worked out, but you know that I'll let you know as soon as I do. So, let's see now...Downingtown. Firecreek (nice lineup of beers from near and far), Victory (world-class, award-winning brewpub), and now Artisan Homebrew. A nice cap to the end of a Route 113 Beer Tour.

Just called the store and spoke to Mike; he will be opening this Thursday (10/15).
