Weekly Beer Event Calendar Update: Philadelphia & beyond: September 21 - September 30

"Is it the complete list of all beer events happening? No, but no one has a more complete list."

And just like that, it's time to close out the month of September. But the great Philly area beer events calendar will NOT go quietly into that cold, dark night. Allow these nearly 60 events to testify!

Adamstown, Pa.
Sat. 9/23; 6 p.m.-10 p.m. — Founder's Fest at Stoudts Brewing Company [Carol is putting together a 30th anniversary brewfest with live music, beer drinker's buffet, and fantastic craft beer.  $30-$40]
Sun. 10/1, 10/8, 10/15, & 10/22; 1 p.m. — Oktoberfest at Stoudts Brewing Company [A fun-filled family event held every Sunday in October, featuring live German music, dancing, Stoudts award winning lagers and ales, Hand-rolled soft pretzels from our Wonderful Good market, locally produced German-style sausages, and other delicious German food.  $10-$30]

Allentown, Pa.
Wed. 10/4; 5 p.m. — Brewer's Choice For Charity at Allentown Brew Works [Entire firkin proceeds donated to Bradbury–Sullivan LGBT Community Center.  $PAYG]

Berwyn, Pa.
Sat. 9/30; 3 p.m.-9 p.m. — Oktoberfest Celebration at La Cabra Brewing Company [We will be hosting an outdoor biergarden featuring authentic German styles of beer, live music and delicious German fare for all to enjoy.  $PAYG]

Bethany Beach, Del.
Sat. 9/23; 12 p.m.-4 p.m. — Brews By The Bay at Big Chill Beach Club [The breweries will be bringing special, one-of-a-kind beers that have never left the brewery before. A firkin tent will feature cask conditioned ales that are tapped every 15 minutes, with over 16 unique beers being tapped over the course of the day.  $10-$50]

Croydon, Pa.
Sat. 9/30; 12 p.m.-7 p.m. — Oktoberfest at Neshaminy Creek Brewing Company [Our annual Oktoberfest event featuring music by the Philadelphia German Brass Band and food sold by The Flying Deutschman.  $PAYG]

Dover, Del.
Fri. 9/22; 5 p.m.-8 p.m. — Release Party at Fordham & Dominion Brewing Company [New beer release and live music.  $PAYG]

Downingtown, Pa.
Sun. 9/24; 11 a.m.-4 p.m. — Downingtown Fall Fest at Green Street and E. Pennsylvania Avenue [Downingtown FallFest is a Downingtown-Thorndale Regional Chamber of Commerce event, in partnership with Victory Brewing Company, Downingtown Public Library, and the Borough of Downingtown.  $PAYG]

Exton, Pa.
Thu. 9/21 through Sat. 9/23; 2 p.m.-6 p.m. — Oktoberfest at The Drafting Room [Enjoy an Oktoberfest inspired food menu including Pork Schnitzel and Strudel paired with your favorite Oktoberfest beers from Hacker-Pschorr, Weihenstephaner, and Paulaner.  $PAYG]

Mon. 9/25; 6:30 p.m. — 2SP Brewing Beer Dinner at Two Stones Pub [We will have five courses of delicious food paird with five amazingly crafted brews.  $49.95]

Horsham, Pa.

Huntingdon Valley, Pa.
Sat. 9/23; 12 p.m.-5 p.m. — Pumpkin Prost Multi Tap at Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant [Love some pumpkin? Don’t miss out on this multi-tap devoted to our favorite German and pumpkin beers.  $PAYG]
Tue. 10/3; 7 p.m.-9 p.m. — Oktoberfest Beer Dinner at Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant [Join us for a seven course German cuisine dinner from Head Chef Josh Jastrzembski paired with seven German style beers by Lead Brewer Jeff Gundrum.  $65]

Kennett Square, Pa.

Thu. 10/5; 5:30 p.m.-9 p.m. — King of Prussia Beerfest Royale: Donnerstag Happy Hour at King of Prussia Mall parking lot [Includes inspired dishes from King of Prussia restaurants, craft and international brewers, a cocktail lounge, complimentary cigar, live music, and a keepsake tasting mug.  $60-$75]
Sat. 10/7; 12 p.m.-3:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.-9:30 p.m. — King of Prussia Beerfest Royale: Saturday Sessions at King of Prussia Mall parking lot [The biggest party in the 'burbs features 100+ craft and international beers to sample, inspired dishes from KOP's favorite restaurants, live music on two stages, a cigar lounge and so much more.  $15-$50]

Lancaster, Pa.
Sun. 10/1; 1 p.m.-5 p.m. — Biergarten Fest at Excelsior [We're throwing a festive beer garden style party with authentic German style beers crafted by Wacker complete with plenty of live entertainment by the Lancaster Liederkranz Hobby Chor and delicious German foods by Jimmy Duffy's Catering served in the beautiful Courtyard, Terrace, and Catacombs at Excelsior.  $PAYG]

Lititz, Pa.

Sat. 9/30; 10 a.m.-11:30 a.m. — Beer & Yoga at Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant [Yoga class taught by Iron Hill's own Tori Tilley, with beer and healthy snacks to follow.  $25]
Sat. 10/21; 4 p.m. — Fall "Brewers Pizza Night" Festival at Argilla Brewing Company [Each brewery creates a pizza based off of ingredients we have in house plus, a few special ingredients can be added. They choose one of their beer that pairs or just a beer they want to showcase, we tap it, and people drink it. As for the pizza, we hand out ballots and customers vote. Whoever's pizza wins, that brewery gets a pizza crown, bragging rights, and the winning pie gets featured on our menu as the “brewers guild pie”.  $PAYG]

Philadelphia, Pa.
Throughout September; All day — Oktoberfest at McGillin's Old Ale House [This year we’ve joining forces with Fordham & Dominion Brewing Company to launch our own Oktoberfest beer! Plus Oktoberfest beers from Sly Fox, Lancaster, Stoudt’s, Beck’s and Warsteiner Brewing. Plus Pumpkin beers. Plus, rotating Oktoberfest beers and German food specials.  $PAYG]

Fri. 9/22; 6 p.m.-9 p.m. — The Art of Magic Hat: Beer, Drawing, Coloring at Grey Lodge Pub [We will be combining Art Hop Ale with DIY art. We will have drawing supplies and Elspeth will have adult coloring book pages and colored pencils. Magic Hat beers, Art Hop Ale & TFG IPA.  $PAYG]
Fri. 9/22 & Sat. 9/23; 6:30 p.m. & 2 p.m. — Philly Music and Arts Fest at World Café Live [In addition to music, the Festival will highlight the food, beer and arts of Philadelphia. Food trucks and local chefs will provide edibles, while all beer taps will be pouring only local craft beer. Local distilleries will handle cocktails. Local artists will display visual arts. The experience is an immersion in Philadelphia culture.  $30-$125]

Sat. 9/30; All day — Oktoberfest On The Square at Haddon Square Pop-up Beer Garden [We will be building a huge tent and decorating it in Bavarian blue and white to bring our authentic feel of Oktoberfest to Haddon Ave. Imported tables and benches paired with giant steins of beer will transport you to Munich for this fun filled German festival.  $PAYG or $25]
