Weekly Beer Calendar Update: April 18 - April 24

The beer events calendar around the Philadelphia region seems to have slightly higher than average number of food-based events this coming week. So that calls for both a Cheers and a Bon appétit!

@Union Transfer, Philadelphia, Pa.--- Tue. 4/23 - Hop Chef Tour Kickoff (7 p.m.; $53.30 as six of Philadelphia’s hottest young chefs will each create one dish showcasing their imaginative beer and food pairing skills with Ommegang ales that will be served to a panel of judges, and to all attendees, to taste and score. As it all goes down, great beer will partner with great food to help out two great causes: Groundswell and Mural Arts Program.)

One back of house Chef and one Sous Chef will battle it out to become the Victorious Chef Team and have their names immortalized on the Golden Meat Grinder. This is the finale and will feature the winning teams from each of the previous three battles to decide once and for all who is the champion.)

It's Earth Day and a few are doing something about it
