How many times has this happened to you? Strong German Ale fermenting vigorously and pushing the krausen through the air lock. Needed more headspace for the krausen. I think it was a bit too warm during the initial part of the fermentation too. Oh, don't forget the take our poll over there ==>>

If you're using Wyeast 1007, no surprise there, I've cleaned up my share of messes from that strain.
