Where Am I on a Saturday Night?

This isn't Where's Waldo? But, really, smoke-free on a Saturday tasting my Dogfish Red & White, Allagash Tripel, Founders Devil Dancer, and Lagunitas Brown Shugga on tap for all they were worth?

TJs in Paoli, PA of course! Here's the rest of their tap list. Unbeatable, as usual.

How was the smoke free night at TJs? Did it seem that anyone was complaining about it or going along with it? I wish I could have been there, would have been nice to give them support for this as it just makes the time drinking a well crafted beer more enjoyable without the smoke. Sounds like you had a handful of really good beers. I am jealous about the DFH Red and White. I hope to see that when I come in to visit soon.

Scotty was beaming from ear to ear, enjoying his fresh air place of employment. He said they capped the last ashtray at exactly 5pm when the last Coors Light smoker took his last breath (of smoke, that is). Unsurprisingly, he left. It was quite the scene when we drove up and saw a half dozen people standing out front.

Jeff and Scott said that they didn't perceive that anyone was unhappy with the ban, nor left because of it. Jeff said that he thought Saturday was the best night to do it, because from watching the trends Saturdays tended to bring out more "better beer drinkers" and less smokers.

Overall, it was nice. I've never complained that much about TJs too often. They've seemed to always control the smoke the best they can and I never smelled too much like a firepit...while Flying Pig, on the other hand........

OH, and btw.....they also had the DFH Palo Santo Marron. I wasn't up for trying it, maybe next time.

I think the best comment Jeff gave was that he came out of the kitchen after someone had just been served their meal and he could actually smell it.

It was a nice night though. I didn't hear one person complain about the non smoking, but then again I didn't stand just outside the door and hear what the smokers were saying.

I can only hope the trend continues and expands to other days and more hours.

oh and the DFH Palo Santo Marron was very tasty. I thought it did a good job heading its alcohol content.

Glad to hear that things went well and everything tasted good! I will have to grab a few bottles of the DFH Santo Palo Marron when I get in. I remember that beer being pretty tastey at the brewpub last summer.
